Library Release from one of Argentina's Great Producers
In his native Argentina Carmelo Patti's Cabernet Sauvignon has a cult following.
He holds back his Cabernet until he thinks it is ready to drink, which can be a costly business decision, but ensures his wines will show at their best when released, something we wish other producers would emulate. His current release 2007 Cabernet illustrates why these wines have reached such a cult status in Argentina and are so highly reviewed here in the States.
The 2007 Carmelo Patti Cabernet Sauvignon received a 94 pts Wine Advocate, where Luis Gutierrez made reference to the fact that it reminded him of Heitz Martha's Vineyard Cabernet, something that costs multiples of this wine. Polished, complex and refined, this is Cabernet at its finest and is bottled aged for you. Pretty much everything you could ask for and when taken in context of its pricing, this is a great value. We are offering this beautiful Argentine Cabernet Sauvignon for $31.99 a bottle and $28.79 on a six bottle or more purchase. Extremely limited, very little of what is already a small production operation makes it into the US. There is not much to go around so as always first come first served.
