Doing what McLaren Vale does best with Rhone varietals

Doing what McLaren Vale does best with Rhone varietals

The winemaking team of Susana Fernandez and Duncan Ferguson make a dynamic duo when it comes to unique, iconoclastic wines.

Concentrating on Spanish and Southern Rhone varietals from their boutique winery located in the southern edge of McLaren Vale, This winery is boutique in every sense of the word, 5 hectares in size, two qualified winemakers, and a strong commitment to what the region does best, which is Rhone and Spanish varietals. Susana and Duncan have made an extremely appealing wine with their 2013 Cascabel Compose. A blend of Mourvedre (70%) and Shiraz (30%) the Compose is a small production, single vineyard offering that showcases vibrant red berry flavors of ripe raspberries and deep red berry fruits kissed with some earth tones and rhubarb leafiness that adds a complimentary rustic slant to this supple textured medium fuller bodied wine.

This wine is charming, full flavored and perfectly balanced which makes it a great partner for just about anything on the grill. Young and evolving, yet showing well right out the gate, this can be enjoyed now and held for a few more years quite easily. We are offering this impressive Aussie red blend for $17.99 a bottle and $15.99 on a six bottle or more purchase, which in light of its impressive quality makes it a great deal. For those who are fans of the winery and the noteworthy wines they make you are going to love this one.
