Vibrant with captivating fruit purity makes this the perfect food wine

Paul Hobbs is well known in the wine world, having established himself as a multi-talented international winemaker and consultant.

Be it Napa, Sonoma or Mendoza, he has an established reputation of making outstanding wines no matter their origin. Being one of the first Americans to see the potential of Argentine Malbec, after working with the Catena family on a number of projects, he eventually ventured out on his own. His Viña Cobos Felino label is about as good an introduction to Mendoza Malbec as you will find.

The just released 2016 Viña Cobos Felino Malbec is a great take on the varietal showcasing exceptional fruit purity without any excessive oak influence. When we tried the wine we were impressed by its captivating fruit weight and freshness with just the right amount of oak aging to give structure while letting the fruit shine front and center. Malbecs have a reputation of being one-dimensional or boring, if only all Mlalbecs tasted this interesting. We are offering the delightful 2016 Viña Cobos Felino Malbec for $15.99 a bottle and $14.39 on a six bottle or more purchase. When you try the wine you can easily understand why Malbec can be such a compelling food partner.
