Argentina is coming out with some amazing Cabernet Francs from this high altitude region

El Enemigo, established in 2009, is a joint venture between Adrianna Catena, daughter of famed Nicolas Catena, and Alejandro Vigil, who has been the chief winemaker at Catena since 2002.

What started out as a little side project has turned into a lineup that is now becoming the envy of Argentina. In a very short period of time the wines from this partnership have been receiving a lot of attention, with glowing critical acclaim and the reviews to match.

These are wines to watch, especially when it comes to Cabernet Franc. The grapes are sourced from the appropriately named Adrianna Vineyard in the Gualtallary region of the Uco Valley. Gualtallary was planted in the quest to find new and superior parts of Mendoza. Gualtallary was overlooked for years because people thought that pushing 5,000 feet was unsuitable for viticulture, but they were proved wrong and the proof is in the wines that have been emerging for the last decade.

The recently released El Enemigo Cabernet Franc 2015 is an engaging take on the varietal, with 90 plus reviews from numerous critics including 93 pts Wine Advocate helping to confirm its pedigree. If you are a fan of well-made Cabernet Franc you will love this over delivering 2015 El Enemigo Cabernet Franc. We are offering this impressive Argentine Cabernet Franc for $22.99 a bottle $20.69 on a six bottle or more purchase which brings more savings into an already impressive deal.
