A Wine Spectator Top 100 wine for a screaming value

A Wine Spectator Top 100 wine for a screaming value

Whatever people’s views on the Wine Spectator is, they love to look at the annual Top 100 Wines of the Year, and debate the relative worthiness of the wines.

So many times with publications that do their best of, or top picks at the end of the year, the items they list have been sold out for a while. Such is the case with many of the wines listed in the Wine Spectator's Top 100 wines of the year list, so we were taken by surprise when the 2013 Piattelli Premium Reserve Malbec (#44) was available, and more importantly, at affordable pricing.

We are offering the 2013 Piattelli Premium Reserve Malbec for $15.99 a bottle and $14.39 on six bottles or more which makes it a pretty sweet deal on a Wine Spectator Top 100 wine for 2015. This wine is from a known producer who we have carried before and is a modest price point for a wine with such accolades. We understand that the wine may have found its way to the # 44 spot based on being a good value, so we should accept that the wine is a good value. With its plush mouthfeel, this is a lot of wine for the money
