Great Value on this highly reviewed South African Chenin Blanc
South Africa's signature white wine has been getting quite a bit of attention lately and rightfully so.
A string of strong vintages coupled with a weak local currency have created a situation where there are some are serious values to had, making South African Chenin Blanc one of the great white wine values in the world. The just released 2016 Raats Original Chenin Blanc (unwooded) is an impressive offering with deep fruit flavors balanced out by a clean and impressively long finish.
Sourced from vines over 35 years old, this is not some simple, one-dimensional white made to meet a price point, this has quality and value written all over it. Wine Spectator just recently reviewed it where they gave it a glowing 91 point review. We are offering this impressive unwooded Chenin Blanc for $12.99 a bottle and $11.69 on a six bottle or more purchase. Although drinking beautifully as we speak this should show well over the next couple of years.
