The inaugural release of this Cabernet from one of Margaret River's top producers

The inaugural release of this Cabernet from one of Margaret River's top producers

The Margaret River region a few hours south of Perth is one of our favorite Australian regions for premium wine production. Not only is it a gorgeous area but the wines have an amazing fruit purity that we love.

Margaret River is a region renown for Cabernet and also Chardonnay, producing some of the most refined and elegantly styled examples, with exceptional fruit purity, that you will find anywhere in the world. Vasse Felix is considered one of the region's finest producers, having the oldest plantings of Cabernet in the region going all the way back into the 1960s. The wines from this estate, both red and white, with emphasis on both Cabernet and Chardonnay, are legendary, but are never available in sufficient quantities to meet the world wide demand they command.

The winery's attempt to right this matter has been the introduction of the everyday Filius range, for both a Chardonnay and Cabernet. The 2014 Filius Cabernet Sauvignon, the winery's inaugural release, has just come into our market and it is a beauty, playing on the region's ability to make wines that over deliver in every way. We are offering this gorgeous Aussie Cabernet for $21.99 and $19.79 on a six bottle or more deal. For those who know the magic of the region and Vasse Felix in particular, you are going to love this new edition to the lineup.
