2014 Zuccardi Serie A Malbec - exceptional wine that really over delivers for its modest price

2014 Zuccardi Serie A Malbec - exceptional wine that really over delivers for its modest price

Recently we had the honor of being a guest of the Argentine Consulate General to celebrate World Malbec Day.

Outside of the great food and music, copious amounts of Malbec were consumed with great pleasure. What we took away from the whole experience is that the Argentineans know how to throw a good party and there are some exceptionally well made Malbecs that taken in context of their quality and pricing, are unbelievable values. The one Malbec that really stood out was the 2014 Zuccardi Serie A Malbec.

The Zuccardi Serie A Malbec is an introductory level wine in the Zuccardi portfolio but the quality, especially in the 2014 vintage, puts many wines at its modest price point to shame. A pure expression of the varietal, with plump, mouth filling, assorted dark red fruit and soft tannins, it had that extra oomph and depth that made it stand out amongst some pretty serious competition. We are offering the 2014 Zuccardi Serie A Malbec for $12.99 and $11.49 on a six bottle or more buy. Wine Advocate recently reviewed it and gave it a 90 pt score, suggesting you buy it by the case for barbeque. We could not agree more. The juice in the bottle is impressive, with pricing that makes it an exceptional value.
